About Skin x Bones

Skin x Bones is a one woman show by Sasha Reynolds, an Oakland designer of leather goods, jewelry, and bags. All of the products are handmade, and occasionally feature illustrations by Vague Parade. Inspired by and created from natural materials like bones, wood, and recycled leather scraps, the pieces aim to derive beauty from decomposure and imperfection, rather than obscure the organic and often haphazard nature of their components.

Too often we purchase products without a second thought for their origins, so these pieces are designed to celebrate and bring a second life to the flora and fauna from which they’re born.
